Our Vetting Philosophy
Thorough vetting is not about distrust — it is about due diligence. Our goal is to give clients the confidence that the people working in their organisation have been honestly evaluated, that their claimed credentials are genuine, and that there are no undisclosed issues that could create risk.
The Bestcare Background Check Process
Our standard vetting process for outsourced candidates includes:
- Identity Verification — We confirm the authenticity of each candidate’s national identity document, passport, or equivalent government-issued ID before any placement is made.
- Criminal Record Checks — Where the role warrants it (particularly in security, finance, healthcare, or any position involving access to sensitive environments), we conduct formal criminal background checks through accredited channels.
- Employment History Verification — We contact previous employers to verify the accuracy of employment dates, roles held, and, where permitted, reasons for leaving.
- Reference Checks — At least two professional references are obtained and verified for every candidate placed. References are spoken to directly, not merely asked to sign a form.
- Qualification Verification — Academic and professional certificates are authenticated with the issuing institutions where possible (see our dedicated article on this topic).
- Credit and Financial Checks — For roles involving financial responsibility or access to funds, credit record checks are conducted with the candidate’s informed consent.
